Joannah Stutchbury was gunned down in July 2021, in her drive way, on the edge of Kiambu Forest. Joannah was an ardent protector of forests. Her lifetime of work was ended by 6 bullets. The culprits are believed to have been paid for by a powerful developer. To date, the police have made no progress, have made no arrests and the case seems to have been forgotten. Except, we have not forgotten.
As we enlist children across Africa to join us in planting forests, are we being fair I wonder?
We will continue to fight for the protection of our forests we must also address corruption, crime and economic disparity in our countries.
